Course Objectives Effective Leadership Practices is an advanced elective designed to provide students exposure to leadership topics that are not covered in detail in your previous courses, along with an opportunity for in depth investigation of several topics determined by the instructor.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to evaluate different definitions of leadership
  • will be able to give information about three constituents of leadership; the specifications of leader, specifications of successors and contingency factors and their interactions with each other
  • will be able to Analyze the theories of leadership which take place in contingency approach
  • will be able to explain essential social psychological elements which are in relation with leadership concept; social impact, power and politics
  • will be able to discuss about the current approaches and theories like charismatic leadership, transformational leadership, destructive leadership which are related with leadership concept.
  • will be able to examine the real world cases according to different leadership approaches
